Cat Goes Down Basement A Lot And Acts Strange?

Hi,


Our one cat is about 10 years old and she’s the mouse catcher of the family. We used to get mice down the basement, but after sealing holes we haven’t had mice in years. Anyway, she’s been going down the basement a lot (she usually never goes down there) which makes me think there’s mice down there.

However, during the past few days, she starts meowing down there. It’s kind of a high pitch wine. When I go down there she’s just sitting there, and then she just starts frantically rubbing against me and a lot of objects around the basement.
